As we approach the end of January, more glimpses of February's Black History Month sneaker tribute have surfaced. Nike's annual BHM collection spans a variety of silhouettes, each with colorways specific to African heritage. In the past, Kente Cloth has been used, creating a colorful and festive appeal that's unique to Black History Month. The recent use of the word "equality" has been used to reference current issues of social injustice, which plague our country. 4 of the 8 offerings feature the word across the upper as an ode to the Civil Rights Movement.
