Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook have led to the Oklahoma City Thunder to an impressive 42-18 record. Russ has the Jordan XXX and KD has the KD8. Unfortunately, that's only good enough for the third best record in the Western Conference.
In first, there's Stephen Curry and the powerhouse, the Golden State Warriors and second, there's the oldie but a goodie in the San Antonio Spurs.
The regular season is one thing and the postseason is another. Nike is looking to gear KD up with the latest innovations for the second season.
Designed and improved by Leo Chang, Nike is trying something new with the KD8. The KD8 Elite will bring together socks and sneakers. It's crazy but it just might work.
According to Nike the three key benefits of the KD8 Elite include:
1. Built-in, crew-length compression sock for enhanced support.
2. Full-length visible Nike Zoom Air cushioning for a responsive ride.
3. Flywire technology with Kevlar ® aramid fiber for superior lockdown.
Like they've done so in the past, there will be multiple colorways releasing during the postseason stretch. The KD8 Elite will drop on April 14th in the white colorway. May will have two colorways, grey on May 5, and black on May 26. Expect to see Durant wearing these as he pushes for his first NBA championship.
