How to Clean and Restore 'Red Cement' Jordan 3s

Bring Your Sneakers Back from the Dead with Reshoevn8r

If your 2020 Red Cement Air Jordan 3s are looking more “deadstock regret” than “DS heat,” you’re not alone. This colorway might be one of the boldest Jordan 3 releases in recent memory, but once dirt, yellowing, and scuffs take over, the original fire fades fast.

That’s where Reshoevn8r comes in.

In this deep-clean and restoration breakdown, Vick Almighty takes on a trashed pair of Red Cement 3s, showing exactly how to revive worn kicks using Reshoevn8r’s Signature Kit, Sole Revive, and a few restoration essentials.

Whether you're cleaning your first pair or you've been in the game for years, this guide walks you through everything step by step.

Step 1: Deep Clean with the Signature Kit

This pair had been through it. Dull uppers. Yellowed soles. Cracked midsoles.
Vick started the process with a full deep clean using the Signature Shoe Cleaning Kit.

To power through the grime on the outsoles, he grabbed the Brass Bristle Brush, ideal for rubber and tough stains.

After fully scrubbing down the uppers, midsoles, and soles, he tossed the shoes into the washing machine using our Sneaker Laundry System—the most effective way to flush out years of embedded dirt and odor.

Pro tip: Always dry your sneakers thoroughly before moving to repaint or sole work.

Step 2: Unyellow the Soles with Sole Revive + Vick 2000

The yellowed rubber soles were no match for Sole Revive and 4,500 watts of UV power from the Vick 2000. After multiple sessions of "cooking," the white and grey rubber returned to their OG tones, instantly elevating the shoe’s overall appearance.

Step 3: Repaint the Midsoles for a Factory-Fresh Finish

Next, Vick stripped off all cracked and peeling midsole paint using acetone and PGR. After clean taping, he laid down a white base coat with his airbrush setup, followed by the classic black midsole paint to restore the iconic Jordan 3 color blocking.

Step 4: Touch Up the Uppers with Precision Paintwork

As a final detail, Vick repaired a small scuff on the red leather upper. Using Angelus Leather Paints, he custom-mixed the perfect red to match the original hue. With a fine detail brush, he carefully hand-painted the damaged area for a seamless finish.

The Final Result: From Beaters to Clean Classics

What started as a worn-out, neglected pair of Jordans ended up looking nearly deadstock, thanks to a little patience, the right products, and some restoration finesse.

If your 'Red Cement' 3s (or any grails) are in rough shape, don’t write them off. With Reshoevn8r’s cleaning and restoration tools, you’ve got everything you need to bring them back to life.
