Kayne + Adidas: Best Shoes from the Partnership

By know you've heard the shocking news: adidas has ended their partnership with Kayne West, effective immediately.

While details are still emerging and the story is still fairly new, we do know that adidas has ownership of the Yeezy name and designs, meaning that we could still see some more Yeezy shoes in the future.

But for now, all of that comes to a halt. To pay homage to this legendary partnership (regardless of how it ended), let's recount some of the best adidas Yeezy shoes ever made.

1. adidas Yeezy Boost 350 Turtle Dove

Can you go wrong with the 350? As the first colorway of the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost to ever release, the Turtle Dove variant has to make the list. This sneaker took the world by storm when it was first announced, and it still has that same gravitational pull today.

2. adidas Yeezy Boost 750 OG

The Yeezy that started it all...

The adidas Yeezy Boost 750 OG was the first shoe Kanye made after leaving Nike to sign with adidas. Naturally the outlandish high-top design made waves throughout the sneaker community.

It'd be downright impossible to recap the best adidas Yeezy shoes ever without mentioning the very first. This shoe kickstarted the Yeezy line as we know it today.

3. adidas Yeezy Boost 700 Wave Runner

Perhaps the most polarizing adidas Yeezy sneaker is the Yeezy 700. The Wave Runner colorway in particular is the most popular and sought after.

As a big fan of anything orange, these are a must have. Kanye and Adidas were ahead of their time. with the design of the 700..now everyone and their dog is a fan of chunky sneakers.

4. adidas Yeezy Foam Runner

You just knew this shoe was going to make the list, didn't you? The Foam Runner has to be the most controversial Yeezy sneaker ever, although it's nowhere near as controversial as this Kanye & adidas breakup.

5. adidas Yeezy Slide

Last but not least, we can't make a list of the best Yeezy shoes ever without including the Yeezy Slide. This is the most economical adidas Yeezy shoe available for purchase, making it wildly popular.

It's been a good run

How do you feel about Kanye and adidas splitting up? Do you think that adidas will continue to use the same designs under a different brand name? Be sure to leave a comment below. And before you go, check out some of our other Yeezy resources, such as our Release Date Calendar.
