Although Nike’s ACG collection is most relevant during the winter month's, it's not unreasonable to cherish their beauty during the Summer. Today we visit the Nike Air Minot, one of the line’s most fashionable Gore Tex runners. Released in 1997, its birth was in the midst of Jordan Brand’s golden era. Understandably, the shoe featured elements characteristic of the recent Air Jordan 11. Sure it didn’t include patent leather overlays, but a familiar speed lacing system was present. The Nike Air Minot also includes a similar mesh upper providing breathable lockdown support. Reflective panels and leather overlays make this shoe a forgotten classic.
While the Nike Air Minot was released in several colors, it’s most known for the navy/yellow iteration. A comforting, white foam midsole provides cushioning during rigorous outdoor excursions. A durable leather collar is able to withstand the harshest of weather. Looking at the bottoms shows a rigid outsole, ideal for navigating sketchy terrain. Everything about the sneaker screams 90’s fashion. Whether you rocked them with a full ACG jumpsuit or not, the Nike Air Minot was undoubtedly a hit. If you still have a wearable pair, you should break them out during the Winter weather. Tweet us pics and stay warm this Winter!
