When's the last time you heard anyone mention a pair of Fila’s? Well, this #THROWBACKTHURSDAY we’re taking a look at the Fila T1. Back in the day, this throwback tennis shoe played a major role in the sneaker game. The Fila T1 was seen as more than a performance tennis sneaker. Back in 1984, it was the next best thing to the Gucci Tennis shoe. The greatest part was, it didn't cost $400. It wasn’t long before the Fila T1 became a legendary sneaker. As a legit performance product, this classic throwback tennis shoe could be worn on the court or even in the gym. The Fila T1 had a distinctive design with a bit of Italianesque flavor. Back in the day, they looked extra fly with a matching velour tracksuit.
This low cut throwback tennis shoe was featured in a subtle, cream colorway. Navy and blue stripes run across the heel, giving off a patriotic look. Cream colored laces pair well with the sneaker but were sometimes replaced with red or blue. The Fila T1 sits atop a blue outsole, which was different from many kicks of its time. If you know anybody who has a pair of these Fila t1's you should grab them and give them the RESHOEVN8R treatment. Isn't it time you brought some OG's back to life?
