We’re over halfway through April which means we’re that much closer to Summer! June 21st marks the official start of the sunniest season of the year. If you’re like me you can’t wait to break out the shorts with a fresh pair of low tops. It's a fact that some kicks just look better in the Summer! Here’s a list of 5 Summertime essentials that every sneakerhead should have or at least be familiar with.
1. New Balance 998 “Connoisseur Summer”
Known as the “Sand” iteration, this classic runner channels beach vibes. Vibrant shades of turquoise, red and Royal Blue decorate the silhouette. Multicolored laces help create a unique look that yells “VACATION!”
2. Adidas Stan Smith Boost
Stan smiths are the ideal option for any Summer outfit. Add a Boost sole and they’re a MUST have. The Adidas Stan Smith Boost released in several colorways including a more recent PrimeKnit iteration. A little extra comfort on a classic Summer sneaker is never a bad thing.
3. Air Jordan 11 Low (Any Colorway)
Pictured above is the Air Jordan 11 Low Barons which happens to release May 27th for $175. While the Hightop iteration tends to rule the holidays, low top 11’s dominate the Summer. Having recently dropped in a Carolina Blue colorway, you have plenty of options if you plan on adding a pair to your collection. Freak them with Nike or Jordan shorts and you’ll be fly until Fall!
4. Nike Flyknit Racer Multicolor
Personally, I don’t know anyone who’s ever worn a Multi Color rendition of the Flyknit Racer during the Winter. The sneaker’s colorful nature can only be fully appreciated under the Sun’s rays. Whether you're active or just enjoying a day at the park, you won’t feel out of place rocking these in the Summertime.
5. GUCCI FLIP FLOPS!
Last but certainly not least, GUCCI FLIP FLOPS! Flip flops are a staple item during the hottest months of the year. Nike, Adidas, and Jordan all have their versions but sometimes you’ve got to spazz! Head over to Gucci and cop a pair for $190. At Least shipping is FREE!
