Adidas; What’s to come in 2017?

Posted by Tiffany Santana on

If 2016 wasn’t enough to convince you that Adidas has elevated its status in the sneaker community, I'm not sure what to tell you. Actually, your best bet is to sit and marvel at what’s to come in 2017. Since the introduction of Boost Technology, Adidas has begun its ascent to the top of the sneaker food chain. The arrival of the Ultra Boost, solidified their impact in a rapidly changing market. Endorsed by some of the world’s most influential athletes and entertainers, will 2017 be the year that Nike takes a back seat to the three stripes?
NMD
Last weeks return of the OG Colorway recharged our affinity for NMDs. Perhaps the second best option to Yeezys or Ultra Boosts, this silhouette is scheduled to continue its iconic run. Primeknit doesn't seem to be going anywhere either. Both camouflage and multicolor options will hit shelves in the upcoming weeks. There’s even a higher cut option known as the NMD City Sock. As the year progresses there’s no telling what to expect next from the Adidas NMD Runner.
Ultra Boost
Easily the most functional option could ever boast is their famed Ultra Boost. Returning in a plethora of colorways, sneakerheads will have a reason to implement these into their daily rotations. The 3.0 rendition features an upgraded Primeknit pattern and altered cage. Expect leather cages, earth tones, and multicolor patterns. As for the Ultra Boost Uncaged, Adidas has a plentiful selection at hand. A black Boost sole will make an appearance this Spring/Summer adding a new dimension to Ultra Boost colorways.
Iniki Runner Boost
Five colorways of the highly anticipated Iniki Runner Boost are projected to drop this year. Each will feature a full length white Boost midsole and gum bottom. Combining innovative technology with a 70’s silhouette is a sure recipe for success. As a cheaper alternative to NMDs or Ultra Boosts, will you be scooping a pair?
Adidas Pure Boost
The Adidas Pure Boost will return this week carrying Yeezy like vibes. As the first sneaker to implement Boost technology, it will be reintroduced with two distinctive colorways.
Adidas Y3 Pure Boost
Lastly, Yohji Yamamoto is back at it again with another Y3 Pure Boost release. This coked out colorway is scheduled to release this March in limited quantities.
