Making its first appearance since 2002 the Air Jordan 17 Copper will be gracing shelves early next month. In case you’re not well versed in Jordan history, these were the second to last pair he wore during his stint with the Washington Wizards. During the time of its release, basketball sneakers were becoming more intricate in terms of design and innovation. A heightened price tag solidified an oncoming shift in sneaker culture.
The Air Jordan 17 Copper was a lighter, more conventional rendition of the Air jordan 17. The notorious lace cover has been eradicated, giving the appearance of a less bulky sneaker. Taking inspiration from an Aston Martin, this release is the epitome of style and class. The combination of luxury and performance makes these an absolute favorite for many avid collectors.
The sneaker features a premium white leather upper along with a black Croc Skin heel counter. Copper accents are found on the lace eyelets, Jumpman, and posterior side of the sneaker. Royal blue detailing is featured on the outsole paying homage to the Washington Wizards. Look for these to drop April 9 for $250.
