Long after Kanye’s switch to Adidas we’re still seeing more Yeezy themed creations from Nike. The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Pure Platinum is scheduled to release next month, taking a nod to the Nike Air Yeezy 2. Thus far Nike’s already given us the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Solar Red and the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Red October. Based off their success they’ve made the executive decision to continue mimicking Kanye’s ideas. The Superstar has made his disdain for Nike clear through his lyrics, which only fuels his competitor’s petty tendencies. However, for those of us who were unable to cop the Nike Air Yeezy, these are remarkably similar and hold many of the same dope qualities.
The sneaker boasts a two-toned grey-based upper. Bright crimson is found in the interior creating a distinctive contrast. The most admirable feature is the translucent glow in the dark outsole. Although the Nike Air Foamposite Pro Pure Platinum is a fashion statement, it still makes for an excellent basketball shoe. Durable carbon fiber is found creeping towards the midsole. Overall it’s still a solid release and valuable asset to any collection. The Nike Air Foamposite Pro Pure Platinum will release March 12, 2016 with a pricetag of $250. Regardless of how Kanye feels about them, Nike’s confident they’re going to be a success. Should ethics play a larger role in sneaker culture? Until then lets just be appreciative of drops like these.
