2016 began with some coveted drops from Nike and Jordan Brand but adidas and Reebok made some noise too. From blizzards to beaches, a wide range of sneakers found new homes in the closets of collectors.
5) Air Max Zero
Last year on Air Max day, the Air Max Zero was unveiled. "The one before the one." From Tinker's sketches, we found out that the navy blue pair wasn't the original colorway. The sketches came to life as the yellow pairs dropped.
4) Reebok Classic Leather x Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar continues his fight to unite humans. It doesn't matter what gang you're from, these shoes will give off the neutral and natural feel. With the colors red and blue represented on each shoe, unity is the theme.
3) KITH x adidas Consortium Tubular Doom
Fans fought through the massive blizzard to line up and to try and get these. That alone deserves a spot on the list. On the real, anything with the KITH name is hot in the community.
2) Air Jordan 2 x Don C 'Beach'
Massive lines formed for these at the stores that got them. On a short list, the stores include the Just Don pop-up shop in Los Angeles and the Jordan Flight store on 32 South State. Bringing the luxurious and high-fashioned feel back to Jordan 2 (originally created in Italy with the finest materials).
1) Nike Kobe X HTM
Nike surprised everyone and released another pair of HTMs. In an black and white Flyknit upper, the shoes are contrasted with royal blue for a clean and simple look.
