Many have hoped and held their breaths until their faces turned blue (Varsity Royal to be exact) and it looks like the Jordan XI "Space Jam" will return! There is a leaked photo circulating and these may be the 2016 samples.
2016 makes a ton of sense for the Space Jams. First off, the movie was released in 1996, making this the 20th anniversary. Secondly, unless its a new colorway, there's no other original mids to release.
Every December, the Jordan XI creates a bit of chaos. From raffles to calling every plug, these will be highly coveted. The 72-10s were greatly produced and that changed a lot of buying mindsets. With so many on the market, the resale value diminished and fans easily got their pairs. Even if Jordan Brand produced twice that amount, we can't imagine that happening with these.
In case you have forgotten, here are the December releases since the Space Jams kicked it of in 2009:
2009: Space Jam
2010: Cool Grey
2013: Gamma Blue
2014: Legend Blue or Columbia
