Top 5 Sneaker Releases of December 2015 December 27 2015, 0 Comments
5. Air Jordan 6 "Maroon"
Who cares if they didn't sell out. This is a classic colorway that has never retroed until now. Just because hype drives the sneaker game, that doesn't mean this colorway isn't hot. The biggest deterrent may be the quantity and the price tag.
For true fans of the shoes, the price tag is justified when they can go into a store and pick them up without having to deal with resellers. The massive amounts is a good thing for everyone but resellers. If you like the shoe, buy them. Another positive, when the shoes don't sell out people can use their employee discounts on them. For example, a Swoosh account saw the Jordan 6s for 132 ($88 discount).
4. Asics Gel Respector Coca X Concepts
Based on the coca plant, Concepts used the plant to create another hot collaboration. With a green suede upper and gum bottom outsole, Asics hit the jackpot with these. The packaging was just as poopular as the box featured an all-over dollar bill print.
3. Air Jordan 11 "72-10"
Another Jordan with another massive release. Resellers were mad that they couldn't flip these for lots of pretty pennies. Too bad, real fans got their pairs and it was easier than the past XI releases. Like we said, if people really like them, they'll buy what they like. This new colorway brought good quality materials and is much nicer in hand. Good job, Jordan Brand.
2. adidas Yeezy 750 Boost "Blackout"
The more these are around, the nicer they look. Although we don't suggest paying resell value, you may have to. Although these released in at more stores, boutiques, and retail stores, they were gone quickly. Looking like ninja shoes, these suede beauties hit with sneaker fans all over.
1. Asics Gel Lyte III X Ronnie Fieg "Homage"
Ronnie Fieg paid homage to his own work and created a Frankenstein or "What The" pair of Asics. Pulling together his past works, the "Homage" also came in a special packaging which brought lucky ones Stance socks, pins, and a ring full of KITH swatches with materials and colors of the shoes involved.
