In with the new and out with the old? adidas welcomed their latest signature star in James Harden and in a big way too but is Mike Conley on his way out?
It's always strange and creates a ruckus when an endorsed player rocks another brand. This time, the suspect is Mike Conley. Conley isn't an adidas signature athlete but he dons the team model: the Crazyboost 2015. At training camp running practice with the Memphis Grizzlies, Conley was spotted in the Under Armour Curry One.
That's right. Stephen Curry's Under Armour. It's also strange to see that because Mike Conley was wearing his PE versions of the Crazylight Boost 2015.
Since his rookie season, adidas has been on Conley's feet. According to Nick DePaula, his adidas contract has expired but they are in talks. adidas really seems to take care of their players. Right now their focus is on Harden, Derrick Rose, Damian Lillard, and John Wall. As Under Armour continues to build a solid foundation for the future, Conley wouldn't hurt the brand. On top of Curry, as of now, UA has Kemba Walker, Brandon Jennings, Emmanuel Mudiay, and Greivis Vasquez.
