With June ending, the half way point of the year is here. We just wanted to run through a brief recap of the 5 best shoes of the month. Time has flown so quickly.
This year saw the 2014-15 NBA season close with another LeBron James Finals appearance. This time injuries and the depth of the Golden State Warriors were too much to overcome. Stephen Curry and his Warriors were crowned the new champions.
Under Armour won too. By handing Curry his first signature shoe, the brand has catapulted into popular territory. adidas grew with their new signature stars and collabs, collabs, collabs!
TOP 5 OF JUNE
5. adidas Yeezy Boost 350
Kanye West did it again. The Yeezy Boosts 350 sold out immediately across all retailers and were reserved in Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York with the adidas Confirmed app. adidas is loving their celebrity signature lines. Pharrell and Kanye have been able to bring a positive buzz to the Three Stripes. Many struck out with the Yeezy Boost 350 but all others were lucky to get theirs.
4. Nike Pegasus 32 Photosynthesis
The Photosynthesis wasn't as popular as the previously mentioned Yeezys but you can't knock the shoes. The Pegasus 32 brings a Spring/Summer feel with their floral print. With the Dynamic Flywire, these stand out more than they already would.
3. Ronnie Fieg X Diamond Asics Gel Lyte V
Ronnie Fieg X Diamond X Asics Gel Lyte. Fieg has made Asics relevant with his collaborations and this time brings the Diamond way. One of two, the Gel Lyte V featured a light blue with a silver and white contrast. Tally this one up as another instant sell out collab for Fieg.
2. Nike KD 8 USA
Interesting enough, Nike decided to drop KD's eight signature model. Looking to put the past model behind him, he's been spotted in these much more than the KD 7. Don't forget while KD faced an injury plagued season, whenever he was on the court, he opted for the KD 6. Flyweave upper, Dynamic Flywire, and Zoom Air cushioning in the patriotic American colors make these an interesting release.
1. Under Armour Curry One 'MVP'
As we have mentioned, this year belonged to Steph Curry. The baby faced assassin dominated the regular season and made a splash with his first signature shoe. Don't be surprised to see Under Armour break the bank and invest in the sharpshooter. The MVP colorway irked a lot of buyers as the site went down with the high traffic amount. Nice work Curry, let's see if you can repeat or if it was just a fluke.
