Air Jordan XI Space Jam | Photos of 2016 Release

Posted by Steven Quach on

20 years ago, the Air Jordan XI Space Jams released. Today, the shoes often sought and on the hit lists of many.

Unlike the 2001 and 2009 retro, the 2016 rendition looks to take a different route. Apparently, these will be more like the ones that Mike wore in the hit movie. The royal blue Jumpman is colored different, this time in a Concord Purple.

Another difference that is already noticeable is the heel. Usually the XIs feature an iron-on number 23 on the heel area. It often peels and cracks with wear. The problem looks to be solved as the 23 is actually stitched in white.

Currently looking at a December 23 release, circle your calendars because you won't want to miss this. As you can see above, there will also be Jordan apparel to match the release.

For all Jordan XI fans, please cross your fingers for Jordan Brand to manufacture the same or more quantity as the '72-10s'. Mostly fans got their pair and the only unhappy ones were resellers.

It doesn't look like the tongue will feature the phrase "Jumpman Jam." At this point, the tongue is sporting the ordinary "Jumpman Jordan."

  • I’ve been wanting these shoes forever, and as I have been informed that these will be releasing late-December I would like to know how much they will cost.
